Vision and Purpose

The Poornaprajna Center for Neuro-Management & Strategic Brain Research (PIM-BRAIN) is a pi oneering initiative of the Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi, established with the visionary support of eminent leaders in education and neuroscience. This center aims to bridge the gap between neuroscience and management by exploring how brain science influences managerial decisions, strategic behaviour, and economic choices. It leverages interdisciplinary frameworks from economics, psychology, management, and cognitive science to decode com plex decision-making processes and design brain-based strategies for leadership and innova tion.

Academic Scope and Research Agenda

The center is dedicated to high-impact research, offering advanced studies in neuroeconomics, neuromarketing, neuro-leadership, and decision neuroscience. It focuses on experimental and theoretical work involving tools like EEG, eye-tracking, and skin conductance to study emo tional arousal, attention, and strategic thinking in real-life business contexts. The research agenda includes topics such as managerial decision-making, ethical leadership, behavioral bi ometrics, cognitive load, neurodiversity, and the integration of AI with neuroscience for predictive modeling. PIM-BRAIN aspires to position India at the forefront of neuromanage ment research by fostering collaborations with global experts and institutions.
